This painting is one of a series that was shown at a polo tournament and art exhibition in Palm Desert California. During a semester off from college, I took lessons at the polo school at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank and fell very much in love with the game. Since none of my horses were trained for polo, I used the school horses but got to play briefly with members of the L.A. polo team. Although I very much enjoyed the speed and excitement of polo, college expenses did not allow for more than a brief adventure.
